We live in a stressful world, where getting a good nights sleep can be a difficult thing. Lack of quality sleep can lead to even more stress and disorders, and it all becomes a vicious circle.
To combat this problem, the Hibino Sound Therapy Lab (led by renowned composer Norihiko Hibino) and Mission One have worked together to develop the "Prescription for Sleep" application for iPhone and iPod Touch.

・Peaceful Sleep Via Music and Imagery
There are four stages of sleep, and the goal of Prescription for Sleep is to guide you to the relaxed state necessary to enter the first stage. This is done through soothing imagery and therapeutic music, recorded live on acoustic instruments at a rhythm that recreates the pulse of a mothers heartbeat as heard from the womb.
・High-Quality Sound with Therapeutic Frequencies
The music in Prescription for Sleep contains some inaudible frequencies in the 50-60 kHz range, which replicate frequencies found in nature, such as those of a murmuring forest stream. These 24-bit, 96 kHz recordings were created using special mastering techniques, and have a bandwidth that most standard sound sources cannot duplicate.
